Crazy busy crowded lovely London!

Well, our 9.5 hour flight to London was uneventful, was perfect!  The boys were sleeping before we took off and they had to be woken up for the landing!  (They would have been super grumpy if they weren't awake for the landing!)  Their cousins wore them out I guess!  Madelynne slept most of the time except for the last hour.  She had a bassinet, but if the seat belt sign goes on, you have to hold the baby, so when I finally put her in the bassinet, one hour later the seat belt sign goes on, and I ended up holding her the rest of the way as I fell asleep too.  The flight home will be tougher as it is during the day.  But no point in worrying about that now!

We stayed at the Sofitel, next to Terminal 5 at Heathrow, so it was nice to walk straight to the hotel with our heaps of luggage and crash a bit.

Friday afternoon we took the excited boys on a short train ride, played in a park, ate burgers then back to the hotel.

Saturday we met up with an awesome friend Leaine and her 2 cutie pie kids in London.  Covent Gardens.... why hadn't I gone there before?  Wow, would have loved to stick around and shop, but with boys that is not exactly what any trip is about now!  Instead we went to the London Transport Museum, the boys all loved it.  Then we walked around, checked out Hamley's the 250 yr old toy store and made the 1 hr long train ride back to the hotel.

Sunday we missed meeting due to serious jetlag, but showed up afterwards for a wonderful lunch!!  John and Cheryl are great hosts, plus Leaine's husband Connor came into the city so we could see him too.  (Rosanne and Stuart - you are missed there!)  Sunday night we managed to get all our luggage to Terminal 1 (if you know Heathrow, this is NOT easy) and on to Shannon, Ireland.
Finally!

So many escalators!

Was so good to see you Leaine!  Been too long!

So crowded, we hung on tight to the kids!

Ice cream time!

Sweet potatoes for Madelynne.

At Hamley's.
